This is the fifth book in the Lion’s Pride series and while each book can be read as a standalone, they work much better read in order. And honestly, why wouldn’t you read them all? All of them are so funny, witty and terrifically written. This one shows us Luna and Jeoff. Jeoff is a wolf shifter and the head of the Pride’s security. He is the alpha of his own pack and is determined to not look at another shifter romantically. He likes his life ordered, boring and easy to manage. Luna is a force to be reckoned with and does not back down easily. I absolutely loved her. She was fearless, brave, stubborn and confident. Together, she showed Jeoff how much fun being spontaneous and letting go can be, and Jeoff showed her she is more responsible than she thinks and that doesn’t have to change who she is. They were a perfect match and the mystery of the missing shifters was a perfect backdrop for these two connecting and reluctantly falling in love. I can’t wait to read the next one in this series. A must read for shifter fans!

I admit I've been addicted to this series. The first one hooked me but good but I'll also confess that I've approached each addition to it with not high expectations. I just didn't know if she could follows the first one with another and another that were as great as the first. She blew those low suckers to smithereens.

I loved this book. I've always loved Luna - the sass, the spark the attitude. She rocks. Jeoff? Mr.Uptight but Hot as Hell. Together? To quote a certain author Rawr!

Great plot that moves at a snappy pace, fantastic characters well developed and engaging and smoking hot sex. Who could ask for more? Not I.

Hot Damn! I knew there was a reason I loved Luna so much. Any woman who can get a man to have his way with you how you like it on top of a roof is my hero. Luna knew her lioness wanted Jeoff . Regardless if he was a wolf. Cats and dogs can work together. This alpha tried his best to not be with his mate but when circumstance change and they are thrown together to figure out who's kidnapping shifters heat and bodies can't be contained for too long. Luna with her smart mouth take no mess attitude rubs Jeoff who is the alpha and head of the security that protect them, not that the lionesses need it, but to keep the piece let them do the job Arik pays them to do. He's a prude and she's outgoing who would think that they would get together...Me,me,me! At least I was hoping. She needed her complete opposite to take her and he needed her to bring out his freaky animal side. I loved this couple. And I should have known that Eva was going to suck us in with the twist at the end. The very last paragraph now I am going to waiting on pins and needles to read Reba's story. If you have not read this series in its entirety I beg you to do so that way you will know everything besides it's that Damn good!
Well, are they a match? You need to read to decide for yourself. Im not even sure they really know. Even at the end of the book they have their own way of telling each other they care. No, they arent fated mates but not everyone has a fated mate. Thats just how it is. But Im glad to see that someone who doesnt have a fated mate find someone who makes them happy. Its refreshing and delightful. In this book you will get your HEA and as always there is no Cliffy. You even get a peek of the next book in the series "When a LionessPounces" which will be Rebas book and it appears to have Gaston Charlemagne as the love interest. Who is he? Oh, you meet him in this book. I havent decided if I like him or not. I admit, I kinda think I want to smack him. Keep them coming Eve, I love your books!
I adore this series, and this one was not a disappointment. Five stars for Ms. Langlais, Luna and Jeoff practically set the pages on fire. I am sure my over heated a couple times. Very strong characters to go the strong story line.

Luna is a lioness, obviously, she does not need a man, but she wants Jeoff, the Alpha wolf, in her bed, under her, for just a little while, then she will be able to walk to away. He is so uptight and prudish, and those glasses of his... oh, yeah they get a lioness purring. Now she has been ordered to work with him by her Alpha because both the Pride and the Pack have lost members. Just up and vanished, no trace that either can fine. Jeoff isn't thrilled to be working with the lioness, he has a rule against them, they are crazy and while Luna turns his mortor into overdrive he will never let her know that. But since the King of the City has ordered them to work together, he will do so, trying to make her behave at the same time, a wolf can only take so much after all.

This book keeps you laughing, smiling and makes you gasp in a couple places. And keep a pitcher of cold water beside you because these two... they will set you on fire. Love the interactions and ebb and flow between the characters. Oh, and there is a new paranormal species in town and one of them has his sights set on Luna. Jeoff isn't going to let that happen, he's supposed to be protecting her after all. Hmm, protecting a lioness? the hunters of the Pride? Yeah, well see how that goes over. Pick it up, read it. You will not be disappointed.
